Women’s March

Women showed up and showed out across the world at different Women’s Marches. It’s truly inspiring to see the power of unification to fight for what matters in the world. As the saying goes, women’s rights are human rights! It’s so important to fight for equality for women. It’s crazy to think the year is 2017 and we as people are still fighting for equal rights.

I’m upset I was not able to partake in the Women’s March in Boston or even travel to Washington, D.C. with my god sister. However, I could feel the energy and power from the movement through many of my friends who sent pictures and videos of the different marches across the United States.

As a man who hopes to one day have a daughter, I want to be able to bring her into a world where she does not have to worry about fighting for her rights. I want her to have the same opportunities as a man and be able to live her life to the absolute fullest! Although the March is over, the fight still continues!
